Bounce Rate caveats and context

Bounce rate measures single-page sessions without judging whether the visit was successful. A visitor who reads a full blog post and leaves may have found exactly what they needed, yet the session still counts as a bounce. A visitor who clicks a link and returns within the session timeout does not count as a bounce.

Adjusted bounce rate, which counts sessions longer than a threshold as engaged, can produce very different numbers from the standard formula. Confirm which definition your analytics tool uses before comparing results.
